Yushan National Park
Yushan National Park is home to many of Taiwans tallest mountains and is located 70 kilometers east of Chiayi. This hikers paradise is a challenge. If you are fit enough, it will take about a half day to hike from the Alishan village toll gate to the park boundaries.

East Coast Scenic Area
Hualien Ocean Park is situated on Taiwan's eastern coast and is one of Taiwan's largest theme parks with a dolphin lagoon, underwater kingdom, cable cars and a ferris wheel. Great family fun and loaded with lots of fresh seafood restaurants.

Northeast Coast Scenic Area
The Northeast Coast National Scenic Area hugs the narrow corridor between Taiwan's eastern mountain range and the sea. This coastline begins in the north near the town of Rueifang in Taipei County and ends in the south near the town of Toucheng in Yilan County. Stunning mountain and sea landscapes.

Penghu Scenic Area
The Penghu Archipelago consists of about 64 islands and is located in the southwest of the Taiwan Strait. Penghu attracts thousands of international visitors each year and is home to green sea turtles, whales, seahorses and beautiful coastlines.

Yangmingshan National Park
Yangmingshan  National Park, also refered to as Grass Mountain is one of the more popular parks in Taiwan and is located southeast of Taipei. This park boasts its volcanic formations and floral beauty which makes it a great place for hiking and enjoying nature.

Taroko National Park
Taroko National Park is located south of Taipei and spans across Haulien, Taichung and Nantou counties. The park has many nature trails and is a hikers paradise.  Other activities include rafting and rock climbing. Check out the Taroko website for the latest updates on trail conditions, permits and  other scenic areas to explore.

Kenting National Park
Kenting National Park is one of Southern Taiwan's tourist hot-spots and boasts of being the southern most point of Taiwan. Here you can enjoy tons of outdoor activities, coral reefs and is home to a lighthouse built in 1882 and a 5,000 year old pre-historic site! whoa !
